Marjorie I Bryant

Marjorie Ingram Bryant, 89, a resident of Brookdale Berkeley, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in Goldsboro, NC under the loving care of her family and Hospice. Marge was born in Atlanta, Georgia on February 20, 1929 to the late Harry Ingram III and Lois Johnson Ingram.

She was married to the late Charles Odel Bryant, Jr. Marge and Charles moved many times with his work and with their growing family, Marge always connected with their community. After moving to Goldsboro, Marjorie became a member of Jefferson United Methodist Church.

Through the years with her family and many friends she had a patient, caring, understanding and open mind, found wonderful conversation thereby giving as well as receiving great love. For the past 15 years Marge enjoyed the company of many friends in her retirement community at Brookdale Berkeley.

Marge is survived by her children, Craig Bryant and wife Teresa, Charles O. Bryant III and wife Lee, Charlotte Graham and husband Brian and Carey Bryant and wife Marianne; two grandsons she raised as her children, Clifton Bryant and Curtiss Bryant, Jr.; 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Cornell and son, Curtiss Bryant.

We would like to give a very special thank you to the wonderful staff at Brookdale Berkeley for the love and care they provided Marge over these past years. Simple words cannot express our gratitude. Also a special thank you to Community Home Care and Hospice whose staff cared for Marge during her final days.

Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, April 27th at 1:00 PM at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. where she will be buried beside her late husband, Charles Bryant. Friends may visit the family at the Chas E Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL Friday from 11:00 AM until the procession departs for the cemetery ar 12:15 PM In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to Cures for the Colors, SMOC, 203 Cox Blvd., Goldsboro, NC 27534.
