Enrique “Henry” Colon, age 54, of Inverness, FL, passed away January 30, 2018 at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness, FL. Henry was born on September 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to the late Iris (Camacho) and Enrique Colon, Sr.
He made Inverness his home 2 years ago after relocating from New York and worked in construction throughout his life. In his spare time, Henry enjoyed building things, being outside and enjoying nature. He was an extremely talented artist; he enjoyed drawing. Henry was very knowledgeable about music and loved listening to the oldies. He was also a wealth of information about Native American culture and history and attended the Taino Indian Pow Wow’s in New York every year.
Those left to mourn Henry’s passing are his daughters: Jeneva Marie Colon of Mulberry, FL, Nicole Colon of Union, N.J.; brothers: Carlos Torres and his wife Fabiana of Peekskill, N.Y., Joe Colon of Bradenton, FL; and his significant other of 13 years, Anna Fashay of Inverness, FL. Cremation care is under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
