Charles R. Key, 59, of Inverness, FL passed away December 25, 2017 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness. He was born in Tampa, FL on August 12, 1958, and was a Forklift Operator for Kash n Karry Groceries, Warehouse Division.
Charles arrived in this area in 1990, coming from Tampa, and was Baptist by faith. He loved spending time outdoors; fishing, hunting, swimming, making bonfires, and grilling. He also enjoyed playing chess and poker.
Charles was preceded in death by a daughter, Cecelia Soloman, and his father, Homer Leon Key. Left to mourn his passing are his children, Robert Key, Jeffery Adamik, and Elishia Key, all of Inverness, and Jennifer Lovell of Beverly Hills, FL; his mother, Esther Key; brother, William Key, and sisters, Pamela Quencer and Joyce Key; 10 grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service is scheduled for Saturday, 3:00 P.M., with Reverend Dr. Doug Alexander of New Church Without Walls, officiating, at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service.
