Herbert F. Wampler Jr., 92, of Inverness, FL passed away at Avante’ of Inverness, on December 5, 2019. Herbert was born on March 29, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Marguerite (Williams) and Herbert F. Wampler. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy and was a Veteran of World War II. Herbert made Citrus County Florida his home in 1989 after relocating from West Chester, PA and was Methodist by faith. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and enjoyed playing tennis and golf. Herbert was a 70 year member of Masonic Community Lodge #744 in Broomall, PA.
Herbert is survived by his daughter Sharon Napoli, and his sister, Anita Maurer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Matilda “Sis” Wampler and brother, Bruce Wampler. Cremation care by the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
