Ruth M. Hotop, age 92, of Lecanto, FL, passed away November 30, 2017 at Diamond Ridge Health and Rehab, Lecanto. Ruth was born on June 20, 1925 in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Roswell and Ester (Sowles) Vanderhoff. She was married to Donald L. Hotop for 74 years and worked as a Bookkeeper throughout her life. Ruth and Donald made Florida their home 43 years ago after relocating from California. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, shopping and cooking.
In addition to her husband Donald, those left to mourn Ruth’s passing include her son Rick Hotop and his wife Susan of Inverness, FL and grandchildren: Craig and Timothy. Ruth was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Hotop and her sister, Elaine Cavner. Cremation care under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
