Robert G. Wagner, age 86, of Inverness, FL, passed away December 2, 2017 while under the care of Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, Lecanto, FL. Robert was born on February 25, 1931 in Littleton, CO, to the late Gottfred and Mary (Dolberg) Wagner. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. After his military service, Robert was employed as a steel worker for Armco Steel in Commerce City, CO for over 30 years.

He made Florida his home in 2013 after relocating from Westminster, CO. Robert was married to Delores I. Wagner for 57 years until her passing on June 19, 2013. He was known to enjoy tinkering around the house and watching cowboy movies. Robert was extremely proud of his military service and loved the time he spent in Georgia while stationed there. He also enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and especially enjoyed visiting the mountains of Colorado and Montana.

Those left to mourn Robert’s passing include his daughters: Kim Crawford and her husband Charles of Inverness, FL, Melanie Verardi and her husband Nick of Spring, TX; sisters: Esther Ozmun of Broomfield, CO,Patty Carpenter of Golden, CO, Violet Rexroth of North Carolina, Alice Ramsey, Millie Herman and Edna Wagner, all of Wheat Ridge, CO; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. In addition to his wife Delores, Robert was preceded in death by 13 brother and sisters. Private cremation care is under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
