Eileen Swanson, age 72, of Hernando, FL, passed away November 12, 2017 at Life Care of Lecanto, FL. Eileen was born on November 21, 1944 in New York, N.Y. to the late Salvatore and Rita (Greene) Salerno. In 1973 she married William Swanson with whom she shared 43 years of marriage. Eileen and William made Citrus County their home in 2002 after relocating from Tampa, FL. She had a great love for her children and grandchildren, was an excellent cook and an animal lover.
In addition to her husband William, those left to mourn Eileen’s passing are her daughters: Coleen Matsuo and her husband Burke of Atlanta, GA, Stephanie Swanson of Beverly Hills, FL; sister, Janet Dellaratta and her husband Peter of Pensacola, FL; and grandchildren: Nathaniel, William and Benjamin. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Salerno.
A funeral service for Eileen will take place on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 4:00 PM at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Beaverson of the First Lutheran Church of Inverness officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 3:00 PM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Eileen’s memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123. Arrangements under direction of the Chas E.
