Sylvia Marie Zellner, 85, Floral City passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus and The Nature Coast. Sylvia was born in DeKalb, IL on May 11, 1932 to the late Stanley R. and Gladys (Mosher) Concidine and moved to Citrus County in 1951.

She was a long time member of the Floral City Church of Christ where she was very involved and known for her service, generosity, and beautiful singing. Her sunny disposition, warm and tender heart, and her great sense of humor will be long remembered. Sylvia retired from the Citrus County School System as a bus driver with 30 years of service. Sylvia was the winner of Citrus County’s 1997 Support Person of The Year. That title was extended to include the 19 County Region II Crown Area. Sylvia was one of 5 regional winners out of 57 statewide applicants She especially enjoyed working in her garden growing her roses and loved her pets.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Paula Zellner of Ferndale, WA and Dena Sanicola and her husband Michael of Lafayette, CO ; nephew, Roy Concidine and wife Sharon of Floral City; 2 nieces, Sylvia Krpan and husband Milan of Sycamore, IL and Carol Hilleson and husband Steve of DeKalb, IL and their children and grandchildren; 6 grandchildren, Landon, Damon, and Lauren Searles and Nico, Gino, and Michael Sanicola. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milliard “Phil” Zellner in 2000; her sister, Carrie Ferrill and brothers, Don and Gene Concidine. She treasured the Concidine and Zellner family and many dear friends. Sylvia liked to reminisce about her family and recalling happy times growing up in Elva, IL.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Sylvia’s nephew, Mr. Joel Zellner officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in Hills of Rest Cemetery of Floral City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.

Memorials are being accepted by Hospice of Citrus & The Nature Coast or Citrus Co. Humane Society.
