Elsie “Dolores” Cribbs, 86, Dunnellon, formerly of Homosassa, passed away October 28, 2017 in Citrus Memorial Hospital. Mrs Cribbs was born in Frostproof, FL on July 5, 1931 to the late Harold and Gladys (DuBose) Collins and moved to Citrus County in 1975 from Tampa. She was a homemaker and of the Protestant by faith. She was a member of the Citrus Co. Genealogical Society, served as a guardian ad litem, received her GED in her 30’s while raising her family, and earned her real estate license as well. While living in Tampa, she was a telephone operator for GTE Telephone before moving to Citrus County.

Left to cherish her memory are 3 children: Jack Leon Cribbs, Jr. and wife Jamie of Nashville, TN; Donald Scott Cribbs, Dunnellon, FL; Kathi Janette Orsic and husband Rich, Greenville, KY; 1 sister, Margie Parker of Plant City, FL; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack in Feb 26, 2014. They were married 65 years. She also lost 2 sons, Ronald and Douglas Cribbs, her brother, Harold Collins, Jr. and her sister, Jo Ann Lee, and her grandson, Timothy, in 1988.

Friends may call at the Chas E Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 12:00 Noon. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 1:00 PM to arrive for a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Florida National Cemetery.
