Jenny Lee McCarty, 77, Inverness passed away Friday, September 22, 2017 at her residence under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus and The Nature Coast. Jenny was born in Detroit, MI on February 11, 1940 to the late Max and Iva (Frarey) Donovan and moved to Citrus County in 1978 from Orlando. She retired after 19 years as supervisor in retail sales from Bealls Department Store in Inverness. Jenny enjoyed working puzzles and loved worshipping her Lord and Savior at the Inverness Church of God .
Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Lee Ornoski of Floral City and Patricia Fulp of Floral City; sister, Judy Reynold of Michigan; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth McCarty January 4, 2009, 2 brothers, Richard Donovan and Bud Deitsch, and a sister, Virginia Rouff.
The Celebration of Life for Jenny is scheduled for Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 11:30 AM from the Chas E Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Herman Sears, former pastor of Harvest Temple, officiating. Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
