Dorothy June Holbrook, 74 of Inverness, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Citrus Memorial Hospital. She was born in Dickenson County Virginia on March 28, 1943 to the late Vayard and Margie (Greene) Hale. Dorothy was a “snowbird” for many years before settling here 6 years ago.
Dorothy was a respiratory therapist for many years. She loved her dog Zoey. She and Zoey went to the dog park on a daily basis where she would meet up with her friends to socialize.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Leslie (Randy) Newsome of Hernando and Jennifer (Steve) Greene of Clinchco, VA; her grandson, Stephen Greene and great grandson, Hudson Greene. Dorothy was preceded in death by her grandson Chase Greene, her brother Jackie Hall and sisters, Irhetta Sutherland and Pat Taylor.
Private cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, in Inverness.
