Edison E. Enterkin, Jr., 75, of Inverness, FL passed away August 15, 2017 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness. He was born in Muncie, IN on January 1, 1942 to the late Edison E. and Thelma (Conn) Enterkin.
Edison was a U.S. Navy veteran and a police officer with the Muncie City Police Department with 20 years service. He arrived in this area in 1995, coming from Muncie and was a member of Calvary Chapel in Inverness. Edison was very involved with the church, and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Sherry Enterkin. Other survivors include his sons Jay Enterkin and his wife Kathy of Kenova, W. VA., and Timothy Enterkin and his wife Amy of Muncie, IN; step-daughters Sheryl Mize and her husband Curt of Orange Park, FL, and Stephanie Davis of Inverness, FL; sister Lorraine Davis of Inverness; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Edison is scheduled for Saturday, August 19,11:00 A.M. at Calvary Chapel in Inverness. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness is assisting the family with arrangements.
