Marie “Irene” Thibault, age 99, of Hernando, FL, passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 at Citrus Health and Rehab, Hernando, FL. Irene was born on October 14, 1917 in Van Buren, ME to the late George and Elise (Lavasseur) Couturier.
She was married to Lionel Thibault until his passing on August 4, 1974 and made Citrus County, FL her home in 1979 after relocating from Auburn, ME. A Catholic by faith, Irene was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Inverness, FL. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, sewing, dancing and gardening.
Those left to mourn Irene’s passing include her son, Raymond Thibault of Hubbard, TX; daughters: Simone LePage of Derby, CT, Vickie McMillen of Augusta, ME; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her husband Lionel, Irene was preceded in death by her son, Norman; her daughter, Fern; 11 siblings and 1 granchild.
Private cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
