Frederick V. Thompson, age 79, of Inverness, FL, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Citrus Hills Health and Rehab, Hernando, FL. Frederick was born on October 3, 1937 in Franklin, NH to the late Alma Woods (Provencher) and Victor Leamon Thompson, Sr.
In 1986 he met Virginia (Babine) whom he married on February 20, 1999 and shared 18 years of marriage. Frederick and Virginia made Citrus County their home in 2009 after relocating from Belmont, NH. He was a C.B. Radio Operator for a number of years and went by the handle of “Coat Hanger”. Frederick enjoyed working with tools, tinkering in the garage and listening to Country and Western music.
In addition to his wife Virginia, those who will mourn Frederick’s passing are his son, Frederick “Skully” Sandborn; daughter, Rose Marie Thompson; step daughters: Nancy Tellian, Jeannette Quijano, Michelle Kemling, Ann Marie Flores; brothers: Larry Thompson, Terry Thompson, Gary Thompson; sisters: Margaret Howe, Jacqueline Thompson, Brenda Walker, Roseanna Thompson, Elizabeth Connelly; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Frederick was preceded in death by 4 siblings.
Private cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
