Susan J Robertson

Susan Josephine Robertson, age 96, of Inverness, passed away July 1, 2017 at Citrus Health and Rehab of Inverness. Susan was born on August 15, 1920 in New York, New York to the late Pietro and Nicolette (Macaluso) Montanti. On October 5, 1959 she married Earl James Robertson with whom she shared 17 years of marriage until his passing on August 9, 1977. Susan was employed as a Cashier and Bookkeeper for the Merrill-Lynch Brokerage in New York. She made Citrus County, Florida her home in 1984 after relocating from Long Island, N.Y. A Catholic by faith, she was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Inverness. In her spare time, Susan enjoyed reading, playing cards, sewing and crocheting. Those left to mourn Susan’s passing include her sister in law, Grace Montanti of Inverness, FL; nieces: Nicolette Hyde of Ocala, FL, Nicolette Robertson of Spring Hill, FL; nephews: Peter Montanti of Staten Island, N.Y. and Peter Montanti of Jonesborough, TN. Susan’s urn will be laid to rest alongside her husband Earl at the Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale, N.Y. at a later date. Private cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
