Ruth T. Bieber, 98 of Floral City, passed away May 25, 2017 at Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast in Lecanto. Born in New Rochelle, NY on February 4, 1919 to the late Elbert and Minnie (Hanemann) Billups, she came to Florida in 1982 from North Babylon, NY.
Mrs. Bieber was a long time member of the New Testament Baptist Church in Floral City. She was active with the children’s ministries, and was secretary for the school.
Left to cherish her memory are Richard (Bonnie) Gustafson of N.C., Joan Rodomista of N.Y., Bruce (Gail) Gustafson of N.V., Roy Gustafson of S.C., Jon (Cathy) Gustafson of N.Y. To include dearest family members in Florida: Sue (Paul) Hennessey, Rene’ (Gary) Sennes, Barbara Ramsey, Cathy (John) Sullivan, Roberta Redding, Davis Gustafson and all extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold in 1985.
Funeral services for Ruth will be conducted on Friday, June 2nd at 11:00 AM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness, with Pastor Ledford Hodges, of the New Testament Baptist Church, officiating. She will be buried at the Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, NY, beside her husband.
