Avis M Conley

Avis M. Conley, age 90, of Beverly Hills, FL passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017 while under the care of Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, Lecanto. Avis was born on February 21, 1927 in Somerville, MA to the late Percy Douglas and Laura Marie (Smith) Wagner.

On July 8, 1948 she married Arthur Thomas Conley, Sr. with whom she shared 57 loving years of marriage until his passing on January 31, 2006. Avis and Arthur made Citrus County, FL their home in 1986 after relocating from Billerica, MA.

A Catholic by faith, she was a parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Beverly Hills, FL. Avis was a homemaker throughout her life and an Auxiliary Member of the Beverly Hills VFW Post #10087. Additionally, she was a member of the New England Club of Beverly Hills, FL and Moose Lodge #2112, Inverness, FL.

Those left to mourn Avis’ passing are her children: William D. Conley and his wife Debbie of Dublin, VA., Donna Marie Pisari and her husband Michael of Stoneham, MA., Lawrence A. Conley and his longtime girlfriend Heidi Jeffrey of Woburn, MA., Mary Frances Lysik and her husband Michael of Yorba Linda, CA, Arthur T. Conley, Jr. and his wife Deb of Dracut, MA; brother, Lawrence Orville Wagner of Palm Harbor, FL; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Avis was preceded in death by one son, Thomas E. Conley and her sister Louise (Wagner) Parker.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 10:00 AM from Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Beverly Hills, FL with Fr. Erwin Belgica, Celebrant. Avis’ urn will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E.
