Thomas E Fisher

Reverend Thomas E. Fisher, 69, of Hernando, FL departed to be home with his Lord on April 16, 2017. He was born in Ashland, PA on June 13, 1947 to the late Edwin Morris and Sabina Cecelia (McDonald) Fisher.

Tom was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and achieved success in several businesses while obtaining his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. He was ordained as a minister in the Assemblies of God and served at Evangel Church, Scotch Plains, NJ before founding New Horizon Christian Fellowship in Hillsborough, NJ.  Tom arrived in this area in 2003 from Hillsborough, NJ.  He served at Calvary Church, Inverness, FL and at Reflections Church in Citrus Springs, FL.  He loved making memories with his children and grandchildren, teaching the Bible, and exploring beaches in FL, was active in the Marine Corps League, became a CCW instructor, and took up baking.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Gerard Fisher.  Tom is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Mary Anne Fisher.  Other survivors include his daughters, Kathleen Michelle Fisher and her husband Michael Kullen of Havertown, PA, Rebecca Anne Fisher of Hernando, FL, and Emily Jane Uderman and her husband John of Milford, NJ; brothers James Fisher and Edwin Fisher; sisters Marie Wynne, Catherine Novy, Eileen Ducey, Bernadette Fisher, and Mary Boxter; and 7 grandchildren.  A graveside service with military honors is scheduled for Thursday, April 27, 2:30 P.M. at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, April 29, 1:00 P.M. at Reflections Church, 9757, N. Citrus Springs Blvd, Citrus Springs.  Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL is in charge of arrangements.
