James R. Jones, 84, of Floral City, FL passed away April 13, 2017 at Arbor Trail Rehab & Nursing in Inverness, FL. He was born in Cincinnati, OH on May 11, 1932 to the late Clare F. and Hilda B. (Law) Jones.
James was a long distance truck driver and arrived in this area 5 years ago, coming from Bradenton, FL. He was a Christian by faith, and loved spending time with his family friends.
James is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Lehman of Gelina, Ohio, and his sister, Hilda Young of Inverness, FL.; and 2 grandchildren, Matthew and Mark.
Graveside services for James are scheduled for Monday, 11:00 A.M. at Fountains Memorial Park in Homosassa, FL, with Pastor Tim Stine, from the Harvest Baptist Church in Lake Panasoffkee, officiating.
Family and friends will meet at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, at 9:30 A.M. and depart the funeral home at 10:00 A.M. to proceed to the cemetery.
