Cecil Bryant Lovan, age 91, of Inverness, FL passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 Citrus Health and Rehab, Inverness. Cecil was born April 26, 1925 in Willow Springs, MO to the late Oscar and Emily (Jones) Lovan. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy from 1943 to 1946.
Cecil made Citrus County his home 10 years ago after relocating from Virginia. A Baptist by faith, he attended worship services at Ft. Cooper Baptist Church, Inverness. On June 30, 1995 he married Anna Jean Lipford with whom he shared 21 years of loving marriage. In his spare time, Cecil enjoyed ballroom dancing at least 4 or 5 times a week, going to the Eagles and Moose Lodges in Inverness and playing cards and socializing with friends in their Royal Oaks Community and at the Senior Center.
In addition to his wife Anna, Cecil will be mourned by his sons: James Lovan, Randy Lovan, David Lovan and Kevin Lovan (Renee); daughters: Carolyn Bates (Jerry) and Patricia Tabor; step son, William Lipford (Glendine); stepdaughter, Sherry Kalasnik; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his second wife Laverne and 7 siblings.
Cecil’s urn will be laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, CA at a later date. Private cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory.
