Theresa Marie Brunjes, age 66, of Beverly Hills, FL passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Seven Rivers Hospital, Crystal River. Theresa was born on July 18, 1950 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to the late Arnold and Marie (Ottes) Olsen.
In East Rockaway, N.Y. on April 18, 1972 she married Richard Brunjes, the love of her life, with whom she shared 45 years of loving marriage. Theresa worked as an Examiner for the Insurance Industry throughout her life and had been called on to work many of the of the larger claim issues in the past including Hurricane Andrew.
In the 1970’s, she began making regular trips to Florida to search for her and Richard’s future retirement location. They made Beverly Hills, FL their home in July of 2007 after relocating from East Rockaway, N.Y. Theresa then worked as a volunteer for the Citrus County Sheriff’s Department for 5 years. In her spare time she also enjoyed shopping, rearranging the furniture in her home, decorating and spending time with her husband. Theresa was an animal lover and had dedicated much of her time rescuing many cats and dogs over the years.
In addition to her husband Richard, she is survived by one brother, two sisters and her 4 precious dogs: Lucy, Maggie, Macey and Tigger.
Private cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
