Charles F. Roberts, age 62, of Floral City, FL died at his residence on March 20, 2017. Charles was born on July 27, 1954 in Urbana, OH to John T. and Trussie (Adams) Roberts. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and went on to do maintenance work for the auto industry.
In 1975 he married Rhonda Shingler and would have celebrated 42 years of loving marriage on March 22nd. Charles and Rhonda made Citrus County their home 5 years ago after relocating from Springfield, OH. He greatly enjoyed fishing, boating and playing pool. Charles had a tremendous love for his children and grandchildren and had enjoyed coaching his sons soccer and basketball teams when they were young.
In addition to his loving wife, those left to mourn Charles’ passing are his son, Joshua Roberts and his fiance’ Stacey Shafer of Columbus, OH; brothers: John and Terry Roberts of Urbana, OH; sister, Sue Fraizer of Urbana, OH; and 3 grandchildren: Dessa, Marissa and Hallie Roberts. Charles was preceded in death by one son, Charlie Roberts and one brother, Jimmy Roberts. Charles’ family plan on laying his urn to rest in Ohio at a later date.
Private cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
