Angela Lynn Blasl, 56, Inverness, went to be with her Lord on February 28, 2017 under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus and The Nature Coast. Angela was born in Jacksonville, FL on September 5, 1960 to Robert and Mary Ann (Sisk) Norton. She graduated from Lake Brantley High School in Orlando and completed her college education at Saint Leo University, earning her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Education. Angela began her 28 years of service in the Citrus County School System as a bus driver who read to her children as they boarded the bus in the afternoon. She continued to build relationships with the students even in her final years as the Dean of Discipline for Citrus High School.
Angie’s love for her family could be seen by the smile of pride when she spoke of her son’s accomplishments and of his new wife, the warmth in the home that she shared with her mother, the boisterous laughs that filled the room when she was with her sisters, and the light in her eyes when she was with her nieces and nephews. She is survived by her son, Kristopher Blasl and his wife Christine of Hutto, TX; her mother, Mary Ann Norton of Inverness; two sisters, Robin Martone and her husband, James of Inverness; Beth Dennis and her husband, Jim of Orlando; her nieces and nephews: Nicholas Martone, Lena Rose Martone, Max Martone, and Brooke Dennis. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert “Bob” Norton Sept 25, 2013.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 4th at 12 Noon at Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church with Pastor Dan Shipes officiating. She will be laid to rest at a later date next to her father in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:15 until 12:00 noon when the service begins. Cremation arrangements under care of Chas E Davis Funeral Home With Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in memory of Angela Blasl to the Rotary of Inverness Foundation, P.O.
