Olive Ilene Boyle, age 89, of Inverness passed away at her residence on February 9, 2017. Olive was born on March 28, 1927 in Butler, PA to the late Elmer and Verda (Davis) Miller. She married Lawrence Boyle on June 23, 1952 with whom she shared 40 years of marriage. Olive made Citrus County her home 12 years ago after relocating from Clearwater, FL and worked as a Sales Associate in the Real Estate industry throughout her life.
She believed in giving back to her community and was a Volunteer at Ruth Eckerd Hall for a number of years. Olive also donated her time and effort by collecting and distributing food for the Sheriff’s Youth Ranch. In her spare time, she loved to travel. Olive had traveled extensively over the years throughout Europe including England. She also traveled to Mexico, the Caribbean and Las Vegas. Olive was a vibrant woman who loved life and people! She would always say, “Life is good and if you have your health, you have your wealth!” She was loved by her family and friends. She never met a stranger and will be missed by all!
Those left to mourn Olive’s passing and cherish her memory are her son, Robert Boyle of Levitown, Long Island, NY; daughters: Debra Tritton of Herefordshire, England, United Kingdom, Nancy Kornfield of Scottsdale, AZ, Patricia Mewborn of Jacksonville, FL and Lori Xenophon of Inverness, FL; 6 grandchildren: Paul Xenophon, Mark Xenophon, Dustin MacPeek, Zachary MacPeek, Danny Boyle and Jennifer Boyle; and 4 great grandchildren: Brooke MacPeek, Lila Xenophon, Leia Xenophon and Cohen Xenophon. In addition to her parent’s, Olive was preceded in death by her brothers, Clifford Miller and Elmer Miller; and sister, Verda Miller.
Olive’s family plans to hold a Celebration of of her life, for family and friends at her residence, on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 2:00 until 7:00 PM. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
