Clyde G. Winward, age 73, of Inverness, FL passed away January 24, 2017 at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness. Clyde was born on October 18, 1943 in Vernal, UT to the late Don and Elna (Gray) Winward. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Berlin Conflict. After his military service, Clyde went on to become a truck driver in the transportation industry. He was a Mormon by faith and made Citrus County his home in 1984 after relocating from Utah. In his spare time, he loved spending time with his life long friend and companion of 33 years, Judy Carpenter. Clyde also enjoyed fishing and hunting.

In addition to his loving companion Judy, those left to mourn Clyde’s passing are his sons: Alfonso Winward and Robert Winward of Salt Lake City, UT; daughter, Rita Jay Winward of West Valley, UT; and brother, Robert Winward and his wife Diane of Salt Lake City, UT. In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by two brothers: Gaylon Winward and Jeff Winward.

Private cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
