Sylvia Margaret Schettino, 103, Crystal River, formerly of Inverness passed away January 29, 2017 in the Crystal River Health & Rehab Center following a lengthy stay. Mrs. Schettino was born May 27, 1913 in Beaverdale, PA to the late Vincenzo and Paolina Bizzarri and moved to Florida in 1975 from New York City where she was an Administrative Assistant for The Dept. of Social Services in New York City.
She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and Life Member of the Communication Workers of America. She and her husband, Anthony were also active in the Highlands Civic Association. He passed away January 31, 1987.
Survivors include a step son, William Schettino, Freeport, FL; step daughter, Joan Adametz, Boca Raton, FL; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Feb 2nd at 10:00 AM from Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with burial following in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
