Daniel T. Drummond, 77, of Floral City, FL passed away January 16, 2017 under the care of his family, with the assistance of Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast in Lecanto, FL. He was born in Lumberport (Laura Lee) WV, on February 7, 1939 to the late Daniel K. and Kathleen (Mc Ginnis) Drummond.
Daniel was a carpenter in the construction industry, and arrived in this area in 1986, coming from Brooksville, FL. He was a Baptist by faith, and enjoyed raising cattle, and taking his great grandchildren to the Webster cattle auction. He also enjoyed fishing, and was a role model mentoring young men in the area by teaching them carpentry; but most importantly, he was a very dedicated and devout family man.
Daniel was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Jo Ann Drummond in 2015, one daughter, Theresa Jo Drummond and step father, Geehart Ehlers. He is survived by his son, Daniel Drummond II and his wife Gini of Floral City; daughters Elicia Kuhl and her husband Gary of Floral City, Daneen Horne and her husband Phil of Raeford, NC, and Rebecca Drummond of Floral City; sisters Sue Sprouse and her husband Don, and Mary Ann Dixon; grandchildren: Zeb Bishop and his wife Crystal, Philip Horne and his wife Amanda, Zachary Drummond and his wife Rachel and Barisha Butler and her husband Steven, Todd Kuhl and Brad Kuhl; and great-grandchildren Landry, Logan, Kyler, Austyn, Raegan, Aleena, Reece, Harmon, Haley-Jane, Alissa, Riley and many other cherished family members.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Daniel is scheduled for Saturday, 3:00 P.M. at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness, FL. Visitation will take place from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. prior to the service. Daniel will be laid to rest at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Floral City following the service.
