Ronald L. Taylor, 77, of Inverness, FL and also of South Glens Falls, NY, passed away December 30, 2016 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness. He was born in Castleton, VT on February 21, 1939 to the late Harry and Mabel Taylor.

Ronald was a retired prison guard, and arrived in this area in 2001, coming from South Glens Falls, NY. He was a Catholic by faith, and in his younger years, enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, and weekend camping trips. Later in life, he loved golfing and spending time with friends, family, and the grand kids.

He was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Taylor, and a brother, Robert Taylor. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Muriel Taylor. He is also survived by his sons Paul Taylor, and his partner Charles of Galveston, TX, and Robert Taylor and his wife Rhonda of Lake George, NY; daughters Theresa Truesdale and her husband Charles of Glens Falls, NY, and Laura Colvin and her husband James of Queensburg, NY; brothers Carl Taylor and his wife Gloria, Hiram Ward and his wife Carol, Chan Ward, and Richard Ward and his wife Judy; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and his beloved precious dog Bonnie. Memorial Services for Ronald will be held in New York at a later date.

Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
