Frances Jean Droddy, age 79, of Inverness, FL passed away at her residence on December 20, 2016. Frances was born on October 19, 1937 in Tampa, FL to the late Royce M. and Carrie (Griffin) Sellars. At 15 years of age she married the love of her life, Grover E. Droddy. She was extremely devoted to her husband and shared 57 wonderful years of marriage with him until his passing on February 18, 2010.
In her spare time, Frances liked to hunt and fish. She was also a wonderful cook. Frances wore many professional hats throughout her life. While living in Alabama, she had been a Licensed Realtor, a Licensed Nurse that worked in the Cardiac Care Unit, and an Auxillary Officer for the Police Department Narcotics Unit. However, Frances’ true passion and dedication was caring for her home and family.
An informal Gathering of Friends and Family is planned for Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 11:00 AM from the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL. At that time, friends and family are invited to share their favorite stories and memories of Frances with one another. Frances’ urn will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
