Lorrette D. Herbert, 70, of Inverness, FL passed away on November 27, 2016 under the care of Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast in Lecanto, FL. She was born in Rockford, IL on January 2, 1946 to the late Luis and Virginia (Malcolm) Valderamma. Lorrette was a Craft Shop Supervisor for the U.S. Military, and arrived in this area in 2008, coming from Newburgh, NY. She loved doing crafts, and entered the Citrus County Fair every year with her beaded necklaces and always placed with awards. Lorrette was a member of the West Coast Bead Society.
She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Carl G. Herbert. Other survivors include her children Kevin P. Drennen and his wife Virginia of Las Vegas, NV, Kerry A. German and her husband William of Newburgh, NY, and step-son Daniel C. Herbert of Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; sister Jeanne Kritzi of Homosassa, FL, and 14 other siblings, mostly in Mexico; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A Gathering of Family and Friends to celebrate Lorrette’s life will be held at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness at a later date. Lorrette’s urn will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at a later date.
