Joan Ann Wykes, 80, of Crystal River, FL past away peacefully at home in the presence of her loving daughter Sherri on October 26. She was born in Boston, MA on February 2, 1936 to the late Richard and Florenda (Dalco) Wharton.
Joan was a homemaker and arrived in this area in 1991, coming from Massachusetts. She was a Catholic by faith, and loved playing word games, watching game shows, doing yard work, and she especially loved animals. She also worked as a supervisor for Key Training Center.
She is survived by her children Sean Harrington of Minneapolis, MN, Douglas R. Harrington and his wife Deneise of Madiera, CA, Bruce Harrington of Framingham, MA, and Sherri Edds of Crystal River; and 1 brother, Richard Wharton. She was preceded in death by a sister, Flora Maynard.
