Arthur Joseph Quatro, age 64, of Crystal River, FL died at his residence with his loving wife by his side on October 16, 2016. Arthur was born on September 4, 1952 in Detroit, MI to the late Daniel and Adeline (Polidoro) Quatro.
Arthur proudly served his country as a member of the United States Naval Reserves. He went on to be employed by AT&T as a Building Supervisor. After retiring from AT&T, he made Citrus County his home 11 1/2 years ago after relocating from Webberville, MI. A Catholic by faith, he attended services at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Crystal River, FL. Arthur loved cars and working on them, especially MOPAR cars, and was a great auto mechanic. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Those left to mourn Arthur’s passing are his loving wife of 19 years, Sally Quatro; his sons: Brian DeGoede and his wife Michelle of Hudsonville, MI, Brad DeGoede and his wife Lindsey of Jenison, MI; daughter, Lori Herbst and her husband Cory of Shelbyville, MI; brother, Daniel Quatro and his wife Vona of Westland, MI; his loving sister, Kathy Rarog and her husband John of Castle Rock, CO; 6 grandchildren: Keegan and Reid DeGoede, Joslyn and Brody Herbst and Stone and Lincoln DeGoede; niece, Lisa Ray and her daughter Carlie of Castle Rock, CO; nephews: Jay Rarog, his wife Sarah and their children Blake and Breslyn of Parker, CO., and Cary Quatro, his wife Tammy and their children Lia, Cameron and Joey of Lyon Township, MI.
A Mass of Christian Burial is planned for Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 10:00 AM from St. Benedicts Catholic Church in Crystal River, FL with Father Ryszard Stradomski officiating. A Memorial Service will also be held in Arthur’s home state of Michigan at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Citrus and The Nature Coast, PO Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464, or you can make contributions in honor of Brody Herbst from Papa Arthur Quatro at Make-A-Wish Michigan, 648 Monroe Ave NW, Suite 104, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. Private cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
