Mildred F Lyons

Mildred F. Lyons, age 96, of Lecanto, FL died October 14, 2016. Mildred was born on June 3, 1920 in Rochester, N.Y. to the late Frederick and Norma (Ballard) Nye. She made Citrus County her home over 20 years ago after relocating from New York and was a homemaker throughout her lifetime. Mildred was also a very involved and active member of The Order of the Eastern Star in both New York and Florida and served as a Grand Matron in New York. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Those left to mourn her passing are her son, John Williams of Bartow, FL; daughter, Nancy Beeman of Rome, N.Y.; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parent’s, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Lyons, on February 13, 1997, and her brothers and sisters. A Memorial Service will take place at a later date in Utica, N.Y. Private cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
