Jasmine Erwin, age 83, of Lecanto, FL passed away peacefully August 26, 2016 with her children by her side while under the care of Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, Lecanto. Jasmine was born on January 15, 1933 in Ilford, Essex, England to the late Jack Henry and Anne Laura (Hawes) Harrison. In 1952, she married James V. Erwin with whom she shared 46 loving years of marriage until his passing in 1998. In 1978, Jasmine and James made Lecanto, FL their home after relocating from Carrollton, GA. She enjoyed traveling, bowling and bingo. Jasmine also loved going to casinos and spending time with her family. She was an excellent cook and liked making traditional British meals for her family.
Those left to mourn Jasmine’s passing and cherish her memory are her sons: Vernon and Rocky Erwin of Lecanto, FL; her daughter, Roxana Taylor of Emington, IL; and her brother, Mick Harrison of Ibiza, Spain. She will also be missed by her special “grand dog”, Einstein. In addition to her parents and husband, Jasmine was preceded in death by her daughter, Suzanne Erwin. Private cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
