Vincent Lopez passed away on July 19, 2016 at his home under the care of his wife. Vincent was born in Brooklyn,NY on August 12, 1945 to the late Mary and Joseph Lopez, Sr. of Inverness, FL.

Vincent graduated high school in Brooklyn, NY then became a skilled mason and could build anything. From there, he came to Florida from in 1987 to open a successful restaurant called Maria’s Cucina in St. Petersburg, Fl and retired in 2000. In retirement, he was a skilled artist and his Ocean commissioned works can be found in the St. Petersburg, FL mall. He loved cooking all of his favorite Italian dishes shared by the love he had for his family and friends. Vincent will be deeply missed and will be in our hearts forever.

Vincent is survived by his wife Joy, his two daughters: Gina Hall and son-in-law Thomas Hall and Maria Lopez , his two grandchildren: Thomas Hall and Amanda Hall and his sister Delores Scarangella. Vincent was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Lopez, III on July 20, 2014 and his two brothers, Joseph Lopez II and Leonard Lopez.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 PM at Chas E Davis Funeral Home. There will be a brief prayer service offered by Fr. Tim Cummings of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 AM

    Vinny was like family to me, he was like my older brother I work with him at the restaurant. Love you Vinny.
