John D Jones

John David Jones, age 59, of Inverness, FL died July 29, 2016 at Citrus Memorial Hospital. John was born on September 11, 1956 in Okinawa, Japan to John Paul and Judith (Pierce) Jones. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy where he worked as an aircraft electrician. In 2006, John made Citrus County his home after moving from Los Angeles, CA. A Christian by faith, he was a member of the Pleasant Grove Church of Christ, Inverness, FL. John was an extremely talented artist and did beautiful pencil portraits. He was also a big fan of acoustic guitar player, Phil Keaggy. Those left to mourn John’s passing are his mother: Judith Marino of Floral City, FL; son: Lucas Jones of Hollywood, CA; daughter: Cynthia Jones of Gowrie, IA; brothers: Stephen Jones of Inverness, FL, Joseph Jones of Floral City, FL, Robert Jones and his wife Susan of Palm Coast, FL; and sister: Judi Hoffman and her husband Kip of Kunkletown, PA. John will be laid to rest with military honors provided by Inverness VFW Post #4337 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
