BARBARA DEARMIN KUHL, passed away July 22, 2016 in Inverness, Florida. 
Barbara was born on a dairy farm to Anna and Mason Dearmin in DeSoto, Kansas on August 14, 1924. She was the youngest of seven children, the other six being brothers and all of whom moved to St. Petersburg, Florida in 1927. She and husband Victor graduated from St. Petersburg High School in 1942.
She completed Masters and Reading Specialist degrees at the State University of New York at Albany. Barbara retired from Stillwater, New York Central Schools as Coordinator for Remedial Programs in 1986. She moved to Montgomery, Alabama and then to Florida and Sugarmill Woods in 1989. Barbara was a member of the Sugarmill Woods (SMW) Woman’s Club, SMW Country Club and SMW Garden Club. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Homosassa and served on the Church Council. She was also a member of New York State Teacher Retirement Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Victor W. Kuhl, Jr. Survivors include Kenneth A. Kuhl and wife Penny of Tallahassee; Gary W. Kuhl and wife Elicia of Floral City; three grandsons, Todd A. Kuhl, and Bradley W. Kuhl of Tampa; and Zebulon Bishop and wife Crystal, great-grandsons Logan and Kyler of Floral City. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home at 3075 S. Florida Avenue in Inverness on Wed. July 27 at 11:00 A.M. Services will follow at noon and burial will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at 2:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be sent to First United Methodist Church of Homosassa, 8831 West Bradshaw Street, Homosassa, Florida 34448.
