Richard Talbot Carroll, 71, Floral City passed away in the Kindred Bay Area Hospital in Tampa on May 31, 2016. Richard was born in Brooksville, Fl on Jan. 13, 1945 to A.T. and Lucille (Murphy) Carroll and lived in Citrus County his whole life.

He graduated from Citrus High School (Class of 1963) , joined his father’s business and served as the President of Carroll Contracting & Ready Mix from 1978 until his retirement in 1992. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, his passion being hunting, fishing, and NASCAR racing.

Left to mourn their loss are his wife of 51 years, Marion (Stewart) Carroll; his son, Stewart Carroll and his wife, Terri of Bushnell; 1 sister, Peggy Hartman and her husband, Larry of Floral City; his Father, A.T. Carroll and his wife Ida Mae of Ozello, FL; 4 grandchildren, C.J. Carroll and wife Courtney; Dylan Carroll; Justin Carroll and wife Kelsey, and Ty Carroll; 2 great grandchildren, Aria and Mila Carroll. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Lucille Carroll, his son, Richard “Travis” Carroll (7-11-2015) and his brother, John Carroll in 1949.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM from the Chas E Davis Funeral Home with Rev. Steve King, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Chas E Davis Funeral Home Thursday, (this evening) from 6-8 PM.
