Glenn W Bomke

Glenn W. Bomke, 66 of Inverness, passed away at his home on May 24, 2016. He was born in Trenton, New Jersey on October 22, 1949. His family called Clearwater, Florida their home for many years before moving to Citrus County. Glenn graduated Clearwater High School in 1967.

Glenn served in the Air Force from 1968 to 1972 where he was a Sergeant working in the Auto Flight Systems. After leaving the Air Force, he went to St. Petersburg College, studying Architecture.

He started his family with Joanne in Claifornia where he worked for GTE. After leaving California in 1985, his family moved to Citrus County where he worked for the County IT Department, the Citrus Hills IT and later owned his own computer consulting company.

Glenn is survived by his two children, son, Erich W. Bomke of British Columbia, Canada and daughter Lauren D. Bomke of Chicago, Illinois. Also his brother, Jeff E. Bomke of Gasquet, California and sister, Patricia B. Ray of Crystal River, Florida, as well as so many friends that he considered family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary O. Bomke in 1980, his father, Earl W. Bomke in 1989, and his sister Mary Craven in 2008. Glenn spent his life Passionate about his children, computers, golfing, and socializing. He will surely me missed.

A Celebration of Life ceremony for Glenn will be held at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory in Inverness on Saturday, June 4th at 1:00 PM. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 Noon until service time. Following the service, everyone is invited to gather at Beef ‘O Brady’s, in Inverness.
