James E. Sharpin, 89, Floral City passed away April 15, 2016 at Hospice of Citrus & The Nature Coast. He was born February 6, 1927 in Landen, OH to the late Jack and Gladis (Tillerelk) Sharpin and moved to Citrus County from Bradenton, FL.
He was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator in the construction industry and served our country in the U.S. Army and the Merchant Marines. He especially enjoyed shooting pool with his friends at the IRRU Club in Inverness.
Left to cherish his memory are 5 children, Thomas (Karen) Sharpin, Sparta, KY; Dennis Sharpin, Philippine Islands; Mark (Linda) Sharpin, Mt. Vernon,TX; Randy Sharpin, Floral City; Robert (Tammie) Sharpin, Bradenton, FL, 10 grandchilden, several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris “Dolly” Sharpin on Jan 15, 1994 and his brother and sister.
Graveside services will be conducted Monday, April 16th at 3:00 PM from Hills of Rest Cemetery of Floral City with burial following. No calling hours at the funeral home.
