Mary Catherine Palma, 81, Inverness passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Citrus Health & Rehab following a long illness. Mary was born in New York City on April 23, 1934 to the late James P. and Catherine (Crowley) Burke and moved to Florida from Bethel, CT. She operated the H & R Block Tax Service in Wildwood prior to retirement and was of the Catholic Faith.

She is predeceased in death by her siblings Margaret Griffin, Patricia Corona and John Burke, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Carlo J. Palma, Sr. She will be greatly missed by her three children, Jeanne (Bob) Palma-Hughes, Carlo J. (Debra) Palma, Jr., and Vincenza (Carmine) Tremante. Mary was a loving grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She is also survived by her two devoted brothers and sisters in law, David (Patricia) Burke of Ozelo, FL, James (Joan) Burkery of Myrtle Beach, NC, Josephine Muoio of South Norwalk, CT, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary’s life will be remembered at a Celebration of Life Service on Friday, March 25th, 10:00 AM at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home of Inverness. Interment will follow in The Fountains Memorial Park, Homosassa, FL
