After a long illness, Gerald Alan Graber “Jerry”, 59, passed into the loving arms of the Lord Jesus on February 19, 2016. He was born in Alliance, Ohio on January 7, 1957 to Donald and Arlene Graber. The family moved to Dunedin, FL in 1971 and he graduated from Dunedin High School in 1975. Jerry moved to Floral City, FL in 1976.
He married the love of his life, Patricia Ennis, in 1977. They have shared a deep love for 38 years. Jery always introduced her as his “Bride” and she always addressed him as “My Jerry.”
He owned and operated Graber Automotive in Inverness, FL for 28 years.
Jerry and Patty spent their leisure time on the Homosassa River, fishing, boating, and diving. He always called the Homosassa River his playground. A man of many talents, one of his favorite hobbies was building beautiful radio controlled airplanes and flying them. Jerry also loved to teach his grandson, Calvin, many things, including target shooting and playing chess.
Jerry was a very kind man and always ready to lend a helping hand whenever he was needed. He will be so missed by his family and friends.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, daughter, Eileen Graber Forbes (John), Inverness, FL, and grandson, Richard Calvin Meahl, Inverness, FL. His mother, Arlene Graber, Inverness, FL; sister, Vicki Graber Gabbert (Tim), Hernando, FL; brother, Randall Graber (Deborah), Palm Harbor, FL; niece and nephew, Lindsay and Eric Graber, Palm Harbor, FL; two aunts, Karen Lowe (John), Inverness, FL, and Jean Brail, Spearfish,SD; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Graber.
Jerry died at home under the loving care of Patty and Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast.
