Sean Edgar Allen, age 47, of Inverness and formerly of Orlando, FL died at his home on January 27, 2016 surrounded by his loving family and while under the care of the Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast. Sean was born on May 11, 1968 in Inverness, FL to John Otto and Carolyn (Anderson) Allen.
An extremely talented and creative artist, he was employed as a scenic artist for several Orlando theme parks. A man of faith, he attended services at the Unity Church of Christianity, Orlando. In his spare time, Sean loved playing guitar, live music and attending concerts. He enjoyed grilling and barbecuing for friends and family and was excellent at trivia games. Sean was a Gators football fan. He rarely met a stranger and was a “people person”. Sean was a great father and was extremely loving, caring and kind to his three daughters.
Those left to mourn his passing and cherish his precious memory are his wife and best friend of seventeen years, Helene Clifton; his mother, Carolyn Allen of Inverness, FL; three daughters, Sophia, Annabelle and Emily; three brothers, Travis (Shelly) Allen of Orlando, FL, Curran Hohmann of Orlando, FL and Tony Hohmann of Orlando, FL. He was preceded in death by his father, John Otto Allen.
A funeral service will be offered on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. from the First United Methodist Church of Floral City with Reverend Mary Gestrich officiating. The family will receive friends in visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service. The Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness is assisting the family with service arrangements.
