Kenneth D. Sheldon, 96, of Lecanto, FL, died on January 30, 2016 surrounded by the caring staff of Brookdale Citrus ALF in Lecanto. Kenneth was born in Honor, Michigan on April, 19, 1919 to the late George and Cornelia (Bates) Sheldon. He was one of nine children, all of whom preceded him in death.
He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II on the USS Balch. After the War, he met the love of his life, Virginia Lee Deal. They spent 60 wonderful years together before her passing on July 26, 2010. Before coming to Florida with his wife in 1985, he was employed as a tool & die worker in the automotive industry.
Mr. Sheldon is survived by a Son, Kenneth (Annette) Blanchard of Lowell, Michigan; a great niece that he loved as a daughter, Lois Marie Lesch; Six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Following cremation, Mr. Sheldon’s urn will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. Arrangements provided by Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
