Gayle E. Bailey, age 68, of Inverness, FL, died January 24, 2016 at Florida Hospital Orlando surrounded by his loving family. Gayle was born August 25, 1947 in Cincinatti, OH to the late George and Lucy (Richardson) Bailey.
Throughout his life, he was employed as a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry. Gayle relocated to Citrus County from Orlando 17 years ago. He is a former member of the Orlando Moose Lodge. Gayle was also a member of the Inverness Eagles Club and I.R.R.U. In his spare time, he enjoyed motorcycles, hunting, fishing, boating, scuba diving and muscle cars. Gayle greatly enjoyed having drinks and socializing with his friends.
Those left to mourn his passing and cherish his memory are his children: Connie McLaurin and her husband Charles of Eustis, FL, Timothy Bailey and his wife Lisa of San Antonio, TX; three siblings: David Bailey and his wife Barbara of Clarksville, OH, Thomas Bailey of Pensacola, FL and Donna Hernandez of Orlando, FL; five grandsons, three great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter on the way. Gayle will be especially missed by his “two brothers from another mother”, Bill Schooler and Pat Malloy.
The Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with private cremation arrangements.
