Terry Lee McLeod, 74, Inverness passed away March 30, 2016 at Citrus Memorial Hospital. A native of Inverness, Terry was born Nov 28, 1941 to the late Oscar Penn and Mayo Artie (Reams) McLeod, one of twelve children, in the family residence (The McLeod House) which still remains on North Apopka Avenue as a restaurant. He lived the majority of his life in Inverness, having retired as a professional land surveyor with the original Henigar & Ray Engineering Company in Crystal River. Terry graduated from Citrus High School where he played football and other sports with his brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Arlene (Troast) McLeod; three children, Tara L. Norris and her husband, Phillip of Inverness; Sherri Lee Russo and husband, John of Gainesville, MO; Roger L. Mason, Jr. of Inverness; two brothers, C.J. McLeod of Weeki Wachee, FL; Joseph McLeod of Inverness; 5 grandchildren: Lucy, Michael, John Jeffrey, Matthew, and Jacob and 8 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 7 brothers: Reams, Bud, Harvey, Ernest, Ray, Bill, Harold; and 2 sisters: Eloise and Kate.
Terry’s life will be remembered at a Celebration of Life Service on Monday, April 4th, 11:00 AM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home. The Rev. Brandon Lauranzon from Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church will officiate. His urn will be buried at a later date in the family plot in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
