David L. “Dave” Brown, 63, of Trinity, Florida passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family, and under the care of Gulfside Hospice. Dave was born on April 10, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Russell Raymond and Ruth Mae (Smith) Brown. He was a retired letter carrier, and had recently returned to the area after 5 years in western North Carolina. Dave was also a self taught bass player with remarkable abilities, and excellent vocal skills; who could sound very much like John Lennon. He performed with the area band, “My Back Pages” for 14 years. After he retired and relocated to North Carolina, he enjoyed hunting, and collecting guns and WWII memorabilia. Dave will be greatly missed by family, friends, and musical colleagues. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 20 years, Lois P. Brown; his children, David B. (Adrianna) Brown, currently stationed in El Paso, TX, Brian (Danielle) Cheslock of Trinity, FL, Corbin L. Brown of Gainesville, FL, Kimberly (Michael) Hays of Ocala, FL, and Ashley (Greg) Jumps of Trinity; his sister Linda (Niel) Storgaard of Hudson, FL; grandchildren Jeramee Kallis, Amanda Kallis, Jason Brown, Vanessa Brown, and Nicole Prentice; and one great-granddaughter, Kari Prentice. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
