John Allan Hamilton, age 68, of Beverly Hills, died October 31, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. John was born in Framingham, MA on August 10, 1947 to the late Clifton and Dorothy (McLean) Hamilton.
He served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and later went on to become a correctional officer for the State of Florida. He left Rhode Island and moved to Citrus County in 1988. On March 16, 2001 he married June, the love of his life. John loved to travel, going to the movies every Tuesday and spending time with friends and family. He was a member of VFW Post #4337, Inverness, where he called bingo. He was also a member of the American Legion and a former member of the Eagles.
In addition to his loving wife June, John is survived by many loved ones with whom he shared his life. Chas E. Davis Funeral Home is assisting the family with private arrangements. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
