Carl S Bykowski

CARL STUART BYKOWSKI, 78, died August 24, 2015 while under the care of Citrus Hills Health and Rehab, Hernando. Carl was born December 16, 1936 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Erwin and Mary (Fliss) Bykowski. He married Mary Vogler on August 31, 1957 and they moved to Canterbury Lakes Estates in Hernando in 2004. Carl was employed as a salesman in the insurance industry for a number of years. He had great athletic skills. Not only did Carl attend Marquette University on a cross country scholarship, he was an avid golfer and won the West Bend Country Club, West Bend WI, Class A Golf Tournament in 1982. He was also a Triple A baseball pitcher in Milwaukee, WI for a few years. Carl was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Menomonee, WI. A Catholic by faith, he served as an usher at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 58 years Mary (Vogler) Bykowski; his son, Mark A. (Deb) Bykowski of Milwaukee, WI; daughter, Kathryn J. (Frank) Weiss of Menomonee Falls, WI; brother, John (Rose) Bykowski of Appleton, WI; Mary (Ron) Frigge of Rubicon, WI; two grandchildren, Alex (Ledis) Trapp of Libano, Colombia; and Shannon Gutkowski of Milwaukee, WI. A Celebration of Life will be held in Carl’s honor on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory. The family invites friends to join them for visitation from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service. Following the service, friends and family are invited to attend an informal gathering at the Canterbury Lakes Estates Clubhouse in Hernando, FL.
