CHERYL ANN BLOOM, age 62, Inverness, died August 25, 2015 at Citrus Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Cheryl was born on February 3, 1953 in Cambridge, MA to the late William A. and Marjorie (McCusker) Brown. She was employed by Palm Beach County School System as an elementary school administrative secretary. A loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother, she enjoyed cooking for her family, making crafts and nurturing, providing for and caring for others. Cheryl loved to travel and meet new people. She felt that no one was a stranger, merely a friend she had not yet met. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 18 years, Bill Bloom; her daughter Carrie Ann Schaefer (wife-Serena Franks), sons Michael Batusic (husband- Christopher Vaughn), New York City, NY; William “B.J.” Batusic (wife-Stefanie), Savannah, GA; stepson William A. Bloom, Jr. (wife-Diana), Savannah, GA; her siblings, Marjorie DeCardenas, Fort Worth, TX, Catherine McCullough, Goldsboro, NC, Sharon McCray (husband-Franklin), Inverness, Sean Baker, Melbourne, FL; grandchildren Liam, Sydney, Alayna, Ashlynn, Tanner, Alyvia-Grace, Madeline and Dawson, nieces and nephews, Christina, Joseph, Mitchell, Evan and Stephen. She was preceded in death by a brother William Brown and a brother-in-law Arthur DeCardenas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. The family will receive friends in visitation on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 5-7 PM with personal tributes at 6:00 PM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory. Donations in Cheryl’s memory are requested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project in lieu of flowers.
